The PIKOM CXO Charity Golf is back again, in conjunction with PIKOM National ICT Month 2009 (NIM 2009) from 20 July to 20 August! The objectives of NIM 2009, among others, are creating awareness, generating demand, and addressing issues and opportunities presented by these turbulent times. NIM 2009 highlights a PIKOM Leadership Summit, PIKOM Software and Showcase Services (PS³) Exhibition, PIKOM PC Fair, eWaste Campaign, Buy Online Campaign, release of PIKOM Strategic Review 2009, PIKOM Regional Seminars and PIKOM CXO Charity Golf.
The PIKOM CXO Charity Golf 2008 concluded on a high note at the Saujana Golf & Country Club on 4 November 2008. We have raised a total of RM90, 000 through golfers' participation fee, charity auction and cash contribution for donation to charity organization which exceeded expectation.
With this, PIKOM will continue to contribute to the society, and the net proceeds from the golf tournament and auction drive will be channelled to TWO(2) selected charity organisations: Silver Jubilee Home for the Aged @ Penang and Kota Marudu @ Sabah (Education Fund for the Rural Hostel Programme). The total charity amount targeted is RM40,000 for both organisations.
